New to the neighborhood or seeing new faces around your block? Get to know others in Mapleton-Fall Creek by jumping into one of the many activities we offer! Wish we had something else or want to organize something, let us know!
June’s Book of the Month: The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. We’ll meet in July to discuss the book. Can’t make this one but would like to join in the future? We’ll always post the book here, under “Committees” and “Social.”
Other activities are:
- 4H Club: We will be starting an Urban 4-H Program for youth in the third through 12th grades. Those involved in the group will create a project and learn about a variety of topics, ranging from healthy living, to leadership and citizenship, to the environment and the earth. Meetings are at College Branch Library, 6:30 p.m.
- Walking Group: Meets at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church at 1 p.m. Fridays. If you are interested in walking or want more information, contact the chair of the walking group, Ms. Dupree by email or at a neighborhood meeting.
- Block Clubs: Ask Edna for information on starting your own, getting connected with one that is already happening.
